The Los Angeles Football Club suffered its first home loss of the 2023 MLS regular season, falling 1-0 to the Houston Dynamo on Wednesday night at BMO Stadium.

In the 23rd minute, Houston defender Micael gave his team a 1-0 lead, which would be the Dynamo’s only goal. After Mahala Opoku received his first MLS red card in the 79th minute, the Black & Gold were forced to play the final minutes of the match with 10 men on the field.

LAFC’s record now stands at 7-3-5 for a total of 26 points. The club is still third in the Western Conference, three points behind leaders St. Louis CITY.

On Saturday, June 17, LAFC will travel to Children’s Mercy Park to face Sporting Kansas City. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. PT and will be carried live on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.
