Lana Del Rey has revealed on Saturday that her new single, “White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter,” will be released on February 17th, calling it her “favorite song” and “the one I’ve been waiting for.” In a message to her fans, Lana explained that the song was created with her usual collaborator, Jack Antonoff, and has songwriting credits from her husband, Jeremy Dufrene.
“I just wanted to make a little message and let you know that my new single, the one I’ve been waiting for, ‘White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter,’ is coming out on the 17th,” Lana explained to her fans. “ I really want you to focus on this single. I’m really happy about it. Finally going to be out.”
Lana also mentioned that the single has been mixed by Dean Reed and Laura Sisk, and that Lana and Antonoff “finally found that magical chord.” Lana also mentioned her brother-in-law, Jason Pickens, as a co-writer on the single.
When asked by her fans about her next album, which has been anticipated for a long time, Lana explained that it is coming “soon,” but mentioned that the physical production will take its due time.
“You’re asking about the record, but honestly, soon, because vinyl takes three months,” Lana explained to her fans. “So we have three months plus two weeks. It could be give or take.”
While there is no official word yet on the release date of Lana’s next album, Lana explained that the single is coming first, marking her next big release after her latest studio era.
