Today marks the triumphant comeback of the quintet LE SSERAFIM with their long-awaited third mini album, “EASY,” which sent shockwaves throughout the music business. The quintet, which includes Kim Chaewon, Sakura, Huh Yunjin, Kazuha, and Hong Eunchae, unleashes a sonic cyclone that defies expectations and affirms their place as K-pop trailblazers.
“EASY” is a tribute to LE SSERAFIM’s daring exploration and progress. The album’s five pieces travel over many musical landscapes, demonstrating the group’s variety and originality. From the trap-infused lead single “EASY” to the hard-hitting rock anthem “Good Bones,” to the ethereal beauty of “Swan Song,” each song provides a distinct peek into the band’s multidimensional artistry.
Building on the themes established by their previous albums, “FEARLESS,” “ANTIFRAGILE,” and “UNFORGIVEN,” “EASY” goes further into the members’ innermost thoughts and emotions. With all members actively involved in the creative process, the album exudes genuine sincerity, delving into themes of anxiety and vulnerability under a veneer of confidence.
The release of “EASY” is followed by a visually spectacular music video for the lead track with the same name. The video, directed by famed filmmaker and choreographer Nina McNeely, whose credits include collaborations with worldwide superstars such as Doja Cat and The Weeknd, captures the essence of LE SSERAFIM’s performance abilities. Shot on location in Los Angeles, the video perfectly merges trap beats with old-school hip-hop dance, highlighting the group’s captivating stage presence and individual personality.
In honor of their comeback, LE SSERAFIM will host a unique showcase, “LE SSERAFIM COMEBACK SHOWCASE ‘EASY’,” dedicated to their devoted fandom, FEARNOT. The event will be held at Korea University’s Hwajeong Gymnasium and live-streamed on Weverse and HYBE LABELS’ YouTube channel.
The anticipation for LE SSERAFIM’s homecoming reaches beyond their nation, as the band prepares to make history at the famous Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. LE SSERAFIM is scheduled to perform on April 13 and 20, making them the fastest-invited Korean artist to grace the festival’s stage, reinforcing their standing as global idols.
