Lili Reinhart, Austin Abrams, Coral Pena and Kara Young Talk New Film ‘CHEMICAL HEARTS’

Chemical Hearts, the new film from Lili Reinhart and Richard Tanne, is a teenage love story for introverts.

In the film, based on a novel by Krystal Sutherland, a high school senior named Henry Page (played by Austin Abrams) is assigned to edit the school paper with a new student named Grace (Reinhart). Grace walks with a cane, dresses in typically male clothing, and doesn’t like to talk about her past. They gain each other’s trust slowly, in silences as much as through words.

Henry is intrigued and though she tries to push him away, the more he learns about Grace the more he wants to be closer to her. Of course, Grace is dealing with her own painful past, a car accident that impaired her mobility and took the life of her boyfriend. Despite this, Henry tries his hardest to open her up, the two getting closer in the process.

Chemical Hearts is a journey of self-discovery that captures the thrills, disappointments and confusion of being a teenager. The film is officially out today.
