Lily Phillips explains that her boyfriend is cool with her work, including scenes with other men. They are in what she calls an emotionally monogamous relationship, even though the circumstances are quite unique.
The 24-year-old model discussed the matter in detail on her Instagram video uploaded last week. Phillips explained that her current boyfriend knows that it’s her professional work.
“I have a boyfriend, but I’m still allowed to get cracked by other men because he’s super mature, he actually understands that that’s what it is, a job. I don’t have feelings for people when I sleep with them; it’s purely just for content.”
Phillips explained that it is not an open relationship, nor does it fall into a certain fetish category.
“Just to clarify, this isn’t a fetish for him. We are in a monogamous relationship outside of my work, and he’s actually super supportive.”
She also explained how his support comes through little acts of kindness following each shooting. After one particular shooting session, he surprised her with chocolates and a card.
“He just gets that this is my passion.”
As Phillips mentioned, her boyfriend never asked her to stop working, nor did she consider leaving her career behind.
“I love my job so much; it’s not something that I would want to quit for anyone, and he doesn’t want me to quit for him or anything like that.”
To be on equal footing, she offered him similar privileges, but he rejected them.
“He was just like, ‘No, that would be weird. Why would I want to be with anyone else but you?”
Phillips, who was not even searching for a companion, was taken aback by her boyfriend’s relationship.
“I was really happy on my own, so it hit me out of nowhere,” said Phillips.
But Phillips feels extremely happy with him and says that it’s the best decision of her life to date.
“Honestly, I am so happy I’ve met him. I’ve never met anyone like him,” said Phillips.
