Former teacher Marisa Noel, who used to teach fifth grade at Teche Elementary School, has been arrested for various charges, which include acts against minors, the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office said.
On April 13th, Marisa Noel, 31 years old, was arrested and is being detained at the St. Martin Parish Correctional Facility. She is charged with indecent behavior with juveniles and computer-aided solicitation of a minor in each of four incidents.
Noel’s case was discovered when, on January 28, a complainant told law enforcement about the existence of an inappropriate relationship between the victim and Ms. Noel during her time as a teacher.
The investigation was carried out by detectives from the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office and agents from the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation and Homeland Security Investigations.
