Shalamar Baker is back with beautiful love song, Love One Another.
Whilst the sweet melody and Shalamar’s angelic vocal build an almost naïve innocence, the lyrics create a much more mature ode to putting yourself first.
The track harks back to the sounds of Lily Allen and Kate Nash, whilst adding a modern flavour of the likes of Anne Marie, showcasing Shalamar’s ever-evolving sound – following earlier releases Tell Me That You Need Me, You and I and Try.
With sunshine and springtime sewn into the track, alongside piano and acoustic guitar, Love One Another is a joy to listen to.
Shalamar may currently be better known for her harmonies over on TikTok, but her fast-growing pop repertoire is gaining huge support both online and from the likes of the BBC.
Her fresh pop sound fits perfectly with the growing wave of Brit pop female vocalists, blending upbeat, dance-worthy tracks, with heartbreak ballads and darker tunes that nod to a sound similar to that of Billie Eilish.
Love One Another is out on all streaming platforms 27th May 2022, under UK label Marylebone Records.
