Yesterday, the official trailer for the new film “Little” starring Marsai Martin, Issa Rae, and Regina Hall released. The trailer was met with excitement, making its spring release highly anticipated.
According to The Root, 14-year-old Marsai Martin will hold the title as the youngest black executive producer in Hollywood history when the film hits theatres in April.
Marsai said the film was inspired by the 1988 film “Big,” which she saw when she was 10-years-old. She said, “It was one of my most favorite films growing up. After the Season 1 finale of ‘Black-ish,’ we told Kenya Barris about it, and he called Will [Packer] and said: ‘Yo, you know the girl who plays Diane on Black-ish? She has this dope idea!’”
Marsai will hold the title of the youngest executive producer in Hollywood history in general.
Marsai Martin tweets out here excitement for her new project:
So happy to finally be able to share the trailer, so proud of the things accomplished since we started this and eternally grateful to you guys for listening when others didn’t take us seriously ♥️ @TracyYOliver https://t.co/gFvElJrgGu
