Footage Shows Oakland County Sheriff’s Deputies Beating Mentally Ill Woman Named Diressee Wilson

A video of Oakland County Sheriff’s Deputies beating a mentally ill black woman that was restrained is making its rounds on social media.

Diressee Wilson is reportedly the woman in the video getting beaten up by the deputies. She has been diagnosed with schizophrenia and other mental illness. The deputies did a welfare check on Wilson. They reportedly brought a mental health co-responder with them to the scene. Wilson was acting strangely and dropping her pants when they were kids near her.

When the deputies tried to restrain her, Wilson tried to strike them. They began to put her on the ground. While on the ground, she started to bite them to get unrestrained. After the biting, we see what transpired in the video.

“Due to her biting both officers multiple times, they had to do whatever they had to do, to stop the biting and get handcuffs on her,” Undersheriff Curtis Childs Oakland County Sheriff’s Office told Fox 2 Detroit.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they sought to take Wilson to a mental health facility, but she ended up at the Oakland County Jail. She is facing charges of resisting arrest and more.
