Radio Silence, the powerhouse duo behind modern horror hits like “Ready or Not,” 2022’s “Scream,” and last year’s “Scream VI,” returns with a chilling new vision in their upcoming film, “Abigail.” The recently released trailer teases a nightmarish tale that unveils the monstrous side of children.

The plot revolves around a group of criminals who, after kidnapping the 12-year-old daughter of a powerful underworld figure, aim to collect a staggering $50 million ransom. The catch? They must endure a night of watching over the seemingly innocent girl in an isolated mansion. However, as the captors begin to dwindle one by one, they realize they are trapped inside with something far from a normal little girl.

“Abigail” boasts a star-studded cast, including Melissa Barrera (“Scream” franchise, “In the Heights”), Dan Stevens (“Gaslit,” “Legion”), Kathryn Newton (“Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” “Freaky”), William Catlett (“Black Lightning,” “True Story”), Kevin Durand (“Resident Evil: Retribution,” “X-Men Origins: Wolverine”), Angus Cloud (“Euphoria,” “North Hollywood”), and Alisha Weir (“Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical,” “Darklands”) in the pivotal role of Abigail.

The screenplay, crafted by Stephen Shields (“The Hole in the Ground,” “Zombie Bashers”) and Guy Busick (“Scream” franchise, “Ready or Not”), promises a blood-thirsty and bold reimagining of the vampire genre.

Behind the scenes, “Abigail” is produced by the accomplished team of William Sherak (“Scream” franchise, “Ready or Not”), Paul Neinstein (“Scream” franchise; executive producer, “The Night Agent”), and James Vanderbilt (“Zodiac,” “Scream” franchise) for Project X Entertainment. Tripp Vinson (“Ready or Not,” “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island”) and Radio Silence’s Chad Vilella (executive producer of “Ready or Not” and the “Scream” franchise) add their expertise to the production as well. Ron Lynch and Macdara Kelleher serve as executive producers.

Directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, the film promises to deliver an unforgettable and spine-tingling experience in the horror genre. With a cast of talented performers and a creative team known for their success in the industry, “Abigail” is poised to captivate audiences and leave them on the edge of their seats.
