This weekend’s Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, has been dominated by a peaceful pro-Palestine protest. Many people took over Main Street to make their voices heard and show their support for the Palestinian people.

Despite the small size of the demonstration, which had around a hundred participants, it received significant attention due to the presence of actress Melissa Barrera. The former star of the Scream film series, who was fired for her views on Israel’s Gaza operation, moved her activism from social media to the physical world.

Barrera, 33, walked alongside pro-Palestinian demonstrators waving Palestinian flags and chanting slogans such as the controversial “From the River to the Sea.” The procession was closely monitored by local law enforcement officers.

Deadline captured Barrera on video standing with the protestors, passionately joining in their calls, “In our thousands, in our millions, we are all Palestinians!”

In addition to Barrera, Indya Moore was spotted at the pro-Palestinian march, which was primarily attended by people from nearby Salt Lake City. Aside from a few activist creators, these demonstrators were unaffiliated with the film community that was attending the Sundance Festival.
