Netflix Debuts The Teaser For Barracuda Queens

The official teaser for Netflix’s Swedish girl gang heist series Barracuda Queens, which is loosely based on actual events and features an upper-class setting, was just released.

The 1995 setting of the series was the start of the powerful “girl power” era. Four wealthy girls from Djursholm who go by the names Lollo, Klara, Frida, and Mia refer to themselves as the “Barracuda Queens” because they used to party on Barracuda Beach. When confronted with an enormous party bill, the girls decide in a fit of desperation to rob their new neighbor Amina of her home. Fortunately, Amina is more interested in joining the gang than filing charges when things don’t exactly go as planned. Together, the girls participate in a growing campaign of home invasions against their obnoxious, wealthy neighbors. They are successful students and daughters during the day, but at night, they become ruthless thieves who seek thrills, liberation, and retribution from men who have wronged them.

On June 5, Netflix will release the first season of the show, starring Alva Bratt, Tindra Monsen, Sandra Zubovic, Tea Stjärne, Sarah Gustafsson, and Izabella Scorupco.
