Michael B Jordan has apologized after being accused of cultural appropriation. Jordan team are working on renaming it to something that everyone could be proud of.

Jordan was in the hot seat after it came out that he was releasing a rum brand named J’ouvert.

J’ouvert Rum was going to be a tribute pre-dawn streets of Trinidad, as celebration of emancipation combined with Carnival season to serve as the festival informal commencements.

After receiving major backlash, he and his confounder Scott Robert Williams decided to switch the name.

Celebrities like Nicki Minaj even took to social media about Michael B. Jordan using the name.

“I’m sure MBJ (Michael B. Jordan) didn’t intentionally do anything he thought Caribbean people would find offensive— but now that you are aware, change the name and continue to flourish and prosper.”
