The Olympics has already had a major upset already. Number #1 ranked Ashleigh Barty had a “a really disappointing day” and lost in straight sets to Sara Sorribes Tormo at the Ariake Tennis Park.
Osaka, the favorite for gold following the shock first-round exit of Barty, Osaka will play Switzerland’s Viktorija Golubic in the next round.
