Black Knight, a new television series, promises to be an intense, heart-pounding adventure that will leave you gasping for air.
The tantalizing look into a post-apocalyptic world in which only 1% of the population is still alive on the Korean peninsula can be found in the recently released main trailer. Seoul’s devasted appearance seems utterly unbelievable.
Delivering oxygen and other necessities during the day, the fabled deliveryman 5-8 (Kim Woo-bin) serves as a lifeline to humanity. He changes into a Black Knight at night, though, with a plan to overthrow the order put in place by Cheonmyeong Group, the de facto ruler of the devastated world. In an argument with 5-8, Ryu Seok (Song Seung-heon), the ruthless heir to the Cheonmyeong Group, defends his idea of a world without refugee populations. While Sa-wol, a refugee with aspirations of becoming a Black Knight, bravely climbs onto 5-8’s truck, eager to join the battle, Seol-ah (Esom), a major at the Defense Intelligence Command, cautions 5-8 that chaos may get out of hand.
The thrilling action scenes, which include heart-stopping car chases on sand dunes, intense firefights, and deftly choreographed hand-to-hand combat, come on top of all the drama. Compared to the original webtoon, director Cho Ui-seok sought to produce “more realistic and lively” scenes.
Ryu Seok’s shadowy goals, Sa-wol’s quest to become a Black Knight, and Seol-ah’s inquiry into the evil secrets of Cheonmyeong murky secrets are all at play as 5-8 schemes to overthrow the corrupt world order. The vast universe that Black Knight will reveal is the focus of all attention.
To avoid distraction, free up your schedule. On May 12, only Netflix will have access to the entire world for Black Knight.
