Olivia Rodrigo’s upcoming album “you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love” has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. It has earned 485,000 equivalent album units during its first week, the largest solo artist debut of 2026.
According to Billboard, in the first week, 273,000 units were pure sales, while 218.41 million were on-demand streams.
It is higher than the prior soloist record this year, Drake’s “ICEMAN,” which debuted with 463,000 units. For the entire year of 2026, Rodrigo’s debut was the second-biggest, right after ARIRANG, who made 641,000.
It marks Olivia Rodrigo’s continuation of debuting each album at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. Her first album, “SOUR,” debuted with 295,000 units, while “GUTS” debuted with 302,000. With 485,000 units, “you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love” is now her biggest debut album, and all her albums have bigger units than her previous ones.
