Olivia Rodrigo’s latest album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, is on track to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart with approximately 400,000 units sold in its first week of release.
According to tracking service HITS Daily Double, if this number is accurate, it would be the highest debut of Rodrigo’s career.
This amount would also be the largest album debut for an artist who started their career in the 2020s, beating GUTS and SOUR, both of which already held this record, by a significant margin.
Additionally, the album has garnered over 500 million streams on Spotify before charting.
These numbers seem set to solidify Rodrigo as a true commercial power in pop today, with each of her three albums ranking higher than the last.
