Crunchyroll has announced its support for Borussia Dortmund (BVB), a German Bundesliga club, and the national nonprofit organization Street Soccer USA in their second annual event called the “Street Soccer Times Square Cup presented by BVB.” This event will take place in Father Duffy Square in New York City.
Crunchyroll will be present at the event to encourage participants in the 4v4 Youth Cup soccer competition, and they will have a sponsored tent where they will be giving away One Piece anime merchandise.
Additionally, Crunchyroll will be participating in the Corporate Cup by playing soccer and they also plan to organize a screening party for the newest episode of One Piece at Péle Soccer, a nearby retailer, for fans once the tournament concludes.
As part of the Youth Cup, players will be kitted out in black and yellow Borussia Dortmund uniforms and will have a special appearance by the mascot, Emma B, and Borussia Dortmund player legend, Roman Weidenfeller.
