Paramount+ has announced that the fifth and final season of its flagship original series, Star Trek: Discovery, will air on Thursday, April 4th. This spectacular installment will be accessible exclusively on Paramount+ in several countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, South Korea, Latin America, Germany, France, Italy, Australia, Austria, and Canada.
Fans of the show can mark their calendars because the first two episodes of the ten-episode final season will be available to stream at launch, with subsequent episodes arriving weekly on Thursdays.
The forthcoming season promises an amazing trip as Captain Burnham and the crew of the USS Discovery embark on a mission to solve a mystery that spans the cosmos. Their journey leads them to the discovery of an ancient power that has been hidden in mystery for generations. However, they are not alone in their pursuit; they face dangerous opponents who will go to any length to take the intriguing treasure for themselves.
Sonequa Martin-Green returns as Captain Michael Burnham, Doug Jones as Saru, Anthony Rapp as Paul Stamets, Mary Wiseman as Sylvia Tilly, Wilson Cruz as Dr. Hugh Culber, David Ajala as Cleveland “Book” Booker, Blu del Barrio as Adira, and Callum Keith Rennie as Rayner. Season five also features recurring guest characters Elias Toufexis as L’ak and Eve Harlow as Moll.
CBS Studios produced Star Trek: Discovery in partnership with Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment. Alex Kurtzman, Michelle Paradise, Heather Kadin, Aaron Baiers, Olatunde Osunsanmi, Sonequa Martin-Green, Frank Siracusa, John Weber, Rod Roddenberry, and Trevor Roth serve as executive producers for the series. Alex Kurtzman and Michelle Paradise are co-showrunners, ensuring that the intriguing story continues uninterrupted.
