A Palm Beach County substitute teacher got arrested for trying to get a 15-year-old girl to sleep with her boyfriend.
50-year-old, Evelyn Hayes, a former substitute teacher at Palm Beach Central High School made arrangements for a teen to sleep at the home of her boyfriend Thomas Hicklin, and engage in sexual activity on Christmas night.
Hayes and Hicklin got arrested before Palme Beach Central High School students returned from winter break.
The Palm Beach police revealed that Hayes texted the girl multiple times around Christmas to get her to visit Hicklin’s home to have sex.
During a text exchange between Hayes and Hicklin, he reportedly told Hayes that the 15-year-old girl “would return a grown woman” if she decided to go over to his home.
Evelyn Hayes told authorities that Hicklin lured her in because of his interest in young girls.
The School District says Hayes will not return to any classroom in the district.
