Disney+ has announced the official trailer for season three of “Percy Jackson and the Olympians.” This season, teen demigod Percy embarks on a perilous journey to rescue Annabeth Chase from the clutches of the Titan Kronos.
The trailer opens with Percy saying a war between the gods and Titans is imminent, and the demigods must stand united to survive. The clip shows Percy and Thalia Grace joining hands to rescue young demigods who do not yet know themselves, including Nico and Bianca di Angelo, children of Hades. In the process, Luke Castellan’s group kidnaps Annabeth.
First glimpses of Kate McKinnon as Aphrodite and Ming-Na Wen as Hera.
Season three will premiere with two episodes on Nov. 20 on Disney+ and Hulu, followed by two episodes per week. The last two of the eight episodes will air on Dec. 11.
It will bring The Titan’s Curse, the third book in Rick Riordan’s best-selling series, to life on screen for the first time. The book was published in 2007.
According to the official synopsis, Season three begins when Percy realizes that he will be lost without Annabeth after two great quests with her. Percy rescues Annabeth after Luke kidnaps her and sets out to save his love. In this quest, Percy must free a goddess in chains, survive the Titan’s curse, and avoid triggering the fall of Olympus. Alongside Grover Underwood, Percy partners with some unexpected allies and faces a prophetic challenge that may lead to dire consequences.
According to the show’s creator, Jonathan E. Steinberg, the series’ main plot line focuses on Percy and Annabeth. In an interview with Disney, he said the new season focuses on their actions separately after two seasons of learning how much they need each other.
According to executive producer Craig Silverstein, the season’s tone becomes more adult as the books get darker and the young cast grows into their roles.
Walker Scobell will return as Percy, along with Leah Sava Jeffries as Annabeth, Aryan Simhadri as Grover, Charlie Bushnell as Luke, and Tamara Smart as Thalia, Zeus’ daughter. Levi ChrStopoulos will debut as Nico di Angelo, alongside Olive Abercrombie as his older sister Bianca.
The new season introduces more Olympians and Hunters: Dafne Keen as Artemis, the Goddess of the Hunt, and Saara Chaudry as Zoë Nightshade, Artemis’s lieutenant among the Hunters. Ming-Na Wen will reprise her role as Hera, with Kate McKinnon as Aphrodite, Jennifer Beals as Demeter, and Hubert Smielecki as Apollo. Nick Boraine will play Kronos.
Steinberg, Dan Shotz, and Silverstein will serve as executive producers for the new season, alongside Rick Riordan, Rebecca Riordan, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, and Jeremy Bell of The Gotham Group, Bert Salke, James Bobin, Jim Rowe, Albert Kim, Sarah Watson, and Tamara Becher-Wilkinson. Jet Wilkinson will serve as executive producer for the last two episodes of the season.
The show won a Children & Family Emmy Award. It debuted in December 2023, while its second season started airing in December 2025. In March 2025, Disney+ renewed it for a third season, which will air less than a year after the second season begins.
Disney+ announced the November 20 premiere in July with a teaser trailer, and again in August with a longer trailer at the company’s D23 fan event in Anaheim, California.
