Netflix will premiere the widely anticipated Indonesian film Photocopier on January 13, 2022. The story follows Sur, whose life changes after her drunken selfie circulated online and cost her a scholarship. With the help of her childhood friend Amin, the photocopy guy who lives and works on campus, Sur is determined to uncover the truth by hacking into the students’ phones.

Helmed by acclaimed director Wregas Bhanuteja in his feature film debut, Photocopier dominated this year’s Indonesian Film Festival by receiving 17 nominations, including Best Film, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, Best Actor and Best Actress. The film was also screened at this year’s Busan International Film Festival and competed in the New Currents section.

Photocopier features an ensemble of young and promising actors, including Shenina Cinnamon who takes the leading role of Sur. Her heartbreaking and gritty journey will captivate audiences as the young woman gets closer to the truth. Actor Chicco Kurniawan plays Sur’s friend Amin, whose stunning performance lands him a nomination for Best Actor in the 2021 Indonesian Film Festival. Joining Shenina and Chicco are fellow cast members Lutesha, Jerome Kurnia, Dea Panendra, Giulio Parengkuan, Lukman Sardi and Ruth Marini.
