Reneé Rapp’s October 13th gig at the Moda Center in Portland was to have been another night on her energetic North American tour. But half-way through her set, the Mean Girls star turned pop sensations paused, not to change into an encore getup, nor to sing some big ballad, but to go full scorched earth on Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Trump administration, and in particular, former US president Donald Trump.

The moment has already set the internet ablaze.

“F*** ICE. F*** Trump”

They opened big, with Rapp’s signature belty voice ringing through the arena. And then, after a quick silence, she sang into the mic with a smile that was soon replaced with anger.

“We are very, very, very excited to be here with you. You’re a wonderful, wonderful city,” Rapp began, before flipping the tone on its head. “And it just happens that we’re here at the same time some people who shouldn’t fing be here are. So let’s get a couple things abundantly fing clear: F*** ICE. F*** this administration. And f*** Trump. Thank you for having us, you’re very gracious host.”
