Prime Video released the official trailer and key art for On Call, an electrifying new half-hour drama series co-created by Tim Walsh and Elliot Wolf. On Call is the first scripted streaming series from Wolf Entertainment, a production powerhouse best known for genre-defining procedural dramas like Law & Order and Chicago P.D.. The show will premiere on January 9, 2025, with all eight episodes available exclusively on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories.

On Call is set in Long Beach, California, and brings a visceral, immersive storytelling approach to police officers’ lives. A rookie and a veteran officer navigate the complexities that arise in modern policing. By using bodycam, dash-camera, and cellphone footage, the show is a cinéma vérité-style series drawing viewers into raw, often morally ambiguous realities of serving and protecting a community.

Troian Bellisario (Pretty Little Liars) stars as Officer Traci Harmon, a 12-year veteran of the force whose unshakeable moral compass defines her approach to policing, even when it clashes with shifting law enforcement policies. Brandon Larracuente (The Good Doctor) plays Alex Diaz, an ambitious rookie wrestling with the emotional toll of the job as his optimism meets the hard truths of today’s world.

A Stellar Ensemble Cast

Joining Bellisario and Larracuente is an exceptional supporting cast, including Eriq La Salle (ER, Logan), who portrays the no-nonsense Sergeant Lasman. He is also an executive producer and directed several episodes, adding his own brand of professionalism to the series. Lori Loughlin (Fuller House) plays Lieutenant Bishop and Rich Ting (Tulsa King) is cast as Sergeant Koyama.

The Creative Powerhouses Behind the Series

On Call is the brainchild of Tim Walsh (Chicago P.D., Hightown) and Elliot Wolf (Dark Woods, Hunted), with the backing of Wolf Entertainment’s founder, Dick Wolf. Known for his unrivaled expertise in procedural storytelling, Wolf brings his signature touch to the series alongside executive producers Peter Jankowski and Eriq La Salle. The series is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studios Group, and Amazon MGM Studios, in association with Wolf Entertainment.

What Sets On Call Apart

As a streaming-first project, On Call represents the next dramatic evolution in the storied history of Wolf Entertainment. Beyond the traditional procedural, the series maximizes bodycam and other footage formats for an intensified realism that propels its emotional momentum. Concentrating on an energetic, rookie-veteran partnership, the show treads upon the ethical conundrum, interpersonal conflicts, and social challenges that make up modern law enforcement.

The trailer shows high-stakes confrontations, tense patrol calls, and deeply human moments that promise to give nuance to the police who serve on the front lines. With its innovative approach and top-tier talent, On Call is set to be one of the standout dramas of early 2025.

For lovers of Wolf Entertainment and overall hard-biting police dramas, mark the world television series premiere of On Call, as it drops exclusively on January 9th.
