Ramy Youssef, the Emmy® and Golden Globe®-winning actor, writer, and comedian, is set to make a triumphant return to HBO with his upcoming stand-up comedy special, “RAMY YOUSSEF: MORE FEELINGS,” which will premiere in March.
The special, directed by Emmy® Award-winning director Christopher Storer, will be recorded in front of a live audience at White Eagle Hall in Jersey City, New Jersey, on February 2 and 3, promising an electrifying performance.
Ramy Youssef, known for his versatility as a creator, actor, producer, director, and comedian, received accolades for his first HBO comedy special, “Ramy Youssef: Feelings,” produced by A24.
Notably, he was nominated for a Critics’ Choice Award and a Writers Guild Award in 2020, laying the groundwork for his future success.
Youssef has made a significant impact in the film industry, co-starring with Emma Stone, Willem Dafoe, and Mark Ruffalo in Yorgos Lanthimos’ acclaimed “Poor Things.”
The film won the Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy and was nominated for eleven BAFTA and Academy Awards, including Best Motion Picture.
Youssef’s directing abilities were recognized with a DGA Award nomination for his work on FX’s Emmy®-winning series “The Bear,” specifically the episode “Honeydew.”
However, Youssef’s most notable achievement is undoubtedly Hulu’s Peabody Award-winning comedy series, “RAMY,” in which he serves as creator, producer, director, and lead actor.
In 2020, his performance in the series earned him a Golden Globe® for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy.
He also received two Emmy® Award nominations for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series and Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series during the show’s second season.
Youssef’s creative influence extends beyond “RAMY” to Netflix’s “Mo,” a groundbreaking series produced in collaboration with A24 and Cairo Cowboy.
The series has received numerous honors, including the 2022 Gotham Award for Best Breakthrough Series “Under 40 Minutes,” a Peabody Award, and recognition from AFI and the Television Academy.
As a trailblazer dedicated to promoting diverse narratives, Youssef founded Cairo Cowboy with the goal of creating original film and television content while also supporting emerging Muslim talent.
The production company is currently working on the animated series “#1 Happy Family USA,” which received a two-season order from Amazon through Cairo Cowboy’s first-look deal.
Youssef’s impact on the industry is further emphasized by his inclusion on the TIME100 Next list in 2023, which cements his status as a creative force.
The upcoming HBO special “RAMY YOUSSEF: MORE FEELINGS” promises to highlight Youssef’s comedic brilliance while also cementing his position as a multifaceted talent influencing the entertainment industry.
