Raye Mocks Old Record Label While Promoting ‘My 21st Century Blues’ Debut Album

After parting ways with Polydorr Records for not letting her release her debut album, RAYE finally did and released it independently, ‘My 21st Century Blues’ is out now!

Raye speaks on the release of the long-awaited and highly anticipated debut album: “I am now an artist with an album. I am SO overwhelmed and grateful and thankful what a WILD journey to get to this moment. Go stream and share and diveeeeeee tf in, I hope you find medicine inside these songs just as they have provided for me.”

The South London installed the set of her debut album ‘My 21st Century Blues’ in front of her old record label, which did not allow her to release it for 7 years.

The debut studio album is largely co-written by RAYE with production handled by Mike Sabath, herself, BloodPop, Punctual, and Di Genius, it was met with universal acclaim from critics. The album features appearances from 070 Shake and Mahalia.

Raye will embark on a North American tour with Kali Uchis, who’s planning to release her upcoming album titled ‘Red Moon in Venus’ on March 3rd. Raye also announced her biggest headline UK and European tour ever. The singer will take ‘My 21st Century Blues Tour part ii’ to venues in late 2023.
