Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Helps Raise Over $4 Million Dollars For Texans Suffering Due To The Winter Storm

Congresswoman from the Bronx, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) has helped raised over $4 million for people suffering in Texas. AOC has used her social media platform to spread awareness about the tragedy that Texans are going through.

The New York lawmaker flew to Houston this week to help out at the Houston Food Bank. Some of the money she has helped raised will go to the Houston Food Bank. She is also using her platform to call on people to help volunteer giving out food to people who are in need. Houston Food Bank is using resources like these to try to get 30,000 meal boxes out by Monday.

Reps. Sylvia Garcia, Sheila Jackson Lee and Al Green of Houston have also been spending their time there giving back to the community.
