Rep. Lauren Boebert jokingly suggested that the Apollo 11 moon landing could have occurred in a warehouse in an online video clip circulating in anticipation of the anniversary of the historic space voyage.

Pablo Manriquez of the MeidasTouch Network was interviewing the Colorado Congresswoman on the anniversary of the moon landing and about her stance on its authenticity.

“I don’t know, I think it was done in an Amazon warehouse,” Boebert said, before acknowledging the online retailer did not exist at the time of the 1969 landing. “Oh, they didn’t have those then. Different warehouse.”

Manriquez asked Boebert whether she doubted that the US had actually set foot on the moon, to which Boebert responded, “I’m not convinced of half the things the government tells us.”

“Have a great day,” Boebert concluded.

It was unclear whether Boebert was serious or joking in her comments.
