Rep. Nancy Mace believes that the US would be in a significantly worse situation if Former President Joe Biden remained in office.
Mace gave an interview with MeidasTouch reporter Pablo Manriquez. She admitted that the cost of living remains high yet commended the Trump administration for managing their first year’s budget “darn near a miracle.”
“If we had Joe Biden as president, it would be a much, much worse situation without him,” Mace stated. According to Mace, “He’s done a great job given the circumstances of the conflict overseas.”
In addition, Mace mentioned indicators showing favorable economic progress. She mentioned two consecutive quarters of GDP growth exceeding 3%.
Nancy Mace supported the proposal to suspend the federal gas tax. At the same time, she said she was actively encouraging South Carolina to stop collecting state-level gas taxes until it lowers its price. Moreover, Mace supported removing the income tax from South Carolina and already had plans to do so.
The majority of public comments about Mace’s position were negative. In particular, respondents criticized the statement, comparing it to the situation under Biden’s presidency. “We definitely wouldn’t be at war with Iran.” “Gas was $2.89 when Biden left office. Now it’s $5.09. We are worse off now than when Biden was president.” “If this is the talking point, they have finally run out of defenses.” These are only a few examples of how Mace was criticized.
