R&B singer/songwriter Paloma Ford returns with the ravishing release of her eagerly awaited visual “All For Nothing” with rap icon Rick Ross. The Chandler Lass-directed visual complements the timeless Niko-produced track that was self-penned by Ford and rising songwriter Dazmin Laster. “All For Nothing” featuring Rick Ross has seen an outpour of acclaim and reception since the Long Beach native released her latest X TAPES project last year. Made available to watch/share/experience today, Paloma Ford unveils her most personal visual to date that smoothly weaves together genres of R&B, Soul, and Hip Hop while tackling introspective themes of love and loss.

Paloma Ford shares, “All For Nothing is the lead track for X TAPES and reflects the essence of the project. It’s the climax to a moment where things fall apart, and you have the choice to move past it or bask in the loss. It’s about having that true moment of honesty with yourself. I wanted the concept to be as strong as the lyrics and the message in the song and reflect my journey through love, loss, and the power behind these moments.”

Anticipation for today’s stunning visual release first ignited with Paloma Ford’s and Rick Ross’ appearance on Billboard’s social media takeover series a few short months ago to preview the making of “All For Nothing.” Rick Ross went on record to Billboard saying “When I pulled up on the set, Paloma told me the concept and it was so clean, so classic. When I use the word simple, I love that word because it means I understood it from the very first statement. It was extremely clear. The record is incredible, so make sure you stream and vibe to it right now.”

X TAPES is the acclaimed independent artist’s second EP which was released this past August. Praised for its smooth and sultry nostalgic sound and style X TAPES has already achieved success in Ford’s eyes based on the reception she received from fans as she took a step forward with amplifying her voice blanketed in real and raw vulnerability for the world to see. X TAPES has also gone on to gain achievements across media, music streaming services, and social media platforms.

Described by L’Officiel as “one of the most exciting projects to listen to,” highlighted by LA Weekly, Revolt TV, Flaunt Magazine, Hot New Hip Hop, ThisisRnB, Rated R&B, PAUSE, Notion Magazine and more, X TAPES is shaping to be a classic since its August 2020 unveil. The project is herald by the single “Nights I Cry,” which received praise from LA Weekly, Rated R&B, ThisisRnB and more for its emotive tone and tantalizing visual that captures a smooth, laid-back Cali vibe and “Rain,” which premiered on Complex last year, as the first single released for X TAPES. For the lead track of the project “All For Nothing” featuring Rick Ross, the audio track was highlighted by UPROXX as “the best R&B track released” when the project premiered and “nothing short of dazzling” by Paper Magazine. “All For Nothing” was also highlighted by Spotify’s New Music Friday and Apple Music’s The Newness playlists when the project premiered and is currently on Spotify’s Alternative R&B playlist.

Outside of music, Paloma Ford recently starred in Nigerian fashion designer Tia Adeola’s fashion short film supporting her SS21 collection named “Black is Beautiful,” featuring an all-black cast such as Flo Milli more. The visual premiered on Vogue a few months ago and was recently nominated by the International Fashion Film Awards for ‘Best Cast Ensemble’ amongst more nominations.
