The Barbados Goddess, Rihanna reportedly has two albums coming out. One is a pop album and the other is a dancehall album. It was rumored earlier in the year her next album will be a Reggae album.

These albums will be released on Roc Nation label, she is paying a tribute to her Caribbean roots and aims to further embed dancehall’s gyrating sound into the American pop music market. The album has been in the works for nearly a year and a half.

Collecting sounds from various camps all over the world, many of the tracks collected by Rihanna and her team are from lesser-known Jamaican and Caribbean-born artists. The overstock of track submissions also includes productions by well-known artists such as R. City, Chronixx, Kranium, Boi-1da and Skrillex. According to one source, Rihanna’s team is still looking for more productions.

Word as to when Rihanna’s new record will see the light of day remains unknown.

This is also great for Caribbean culture because many artist in recent years has used that certain culture and haven’t paid respect to the culture. Artist such as Drake and Ed Sheeran. Drake “Controlla” has Caribbean culture written all over it, so does Ed Sheeran “Shape Of You” record. These songs are very Caribbean inspired songs but nobody knows because they don’t give the culture credit. Hopefully Rihanna will put the Caribbean sound back on the map with these next few albums.
