A behind-the-scenes picture of the cast of Hulu’s upcoming TV show “The Testaments” made quite a stir on social media platforms this week. Most attention was paid to the star, actress Rowan Blanchard.
Blanchard previously starred in the Disney Channel television series “Girl Meets World.” She joins Chase Infiniti and Lucy Halliday in starring in the sequel to “The Handmaid’s Tale” called “The Testaments” in 2026, based on a book written by Margaret Atwood.
In “The Testaments,” Infiniti plays Agnes, Halliday plays Daisy, while Blanchard plays Shunammite. The latter are three young girls studying at an elite prep school in the Republic of Gilead.
Some people on social networks commented on the show’s cast. One user wrote, “Good god almighty, Rowan Blanchard, apologies, I wasn’t familiar with your game.” While another fan posted, “That girl from ‘Girl Meets World’ has ALLAT???” Chase Infiniti also received some good compliments, such as: “Chase knows she is amazing, but hold on, Rowan.”
Hulu announced earlier this week that its series will get a second season, even though the show has not even premiered yet.
