Sabrina Carpenter’s hit single “Espresso” continues to captivate the British public, securing its position as the Number 1 track in the UK for the fourth week in a row. This impressive feat marks a full month of dominance for the catchy tune, which has become a staple in the nation’s summer soundtrack. Garnering 8.3 million streams this week alone, “Espresso” is not only the most-streamed track but is also a strong contender for the title of 2024’s official song of the summer.

Meanwhile, Billie Eilish makes a notable impact on the charts with her latest releases. Eilish’s indie-pop track “LUNCH” debuts at Number 2, marking the highest new entry of the week. Additionally, two other tracks from her new project, “HIT ME HARD AND SOFT,” entered the UK Top 10: “CHIHIRO” at Number 7 and “BIRDS OF A FEATHER” at Number 9. These entries bring Eilish’s total number of Top 10 singles in the UK to 12, further cementing her status as a pop powerhouse.

Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” sees a resurgence, returning to its peak position at Number 3. The track has steadily gained popularity, resonating with listeners across the UK.

Outside the Top 10, Chappell Roan climbs back to her previous peak, moving up two places to Number 18 with “Good Luck, Babe!” The song’s return to its peak highlights its enduring appeal.

Gunna’s “One of Wun” continues its upward trajectory, climbing 13 places to secure the Number 32 spot. This track becomes Gunna’s seventh entry into the UK Top 40, showcasing his growing influence in the British music scene.

Tems breaks into the Top 40 with “Love Me JeJe” at Number 36, marking her fourth UK Top 40 entry. The song also holds the Number 1 position on the UK’s Official Afrobeats Chart, underscoring its widespread popularity.

In an unexpected twist, US heavy metal band Disturbed sees their 2015 cover of Simon & Garfunkel’s “The Sound of Silence” re-enter the UK Top 40 at Number 39. This resurgence comes after the cover went viral due to a recent Cyril dance remix. The track originally peaked at Number 29 in 2016, while the classic original by Simon & Garfunkel never charted in the UK.
