Sara Ramírez, who starred in the ‘Sex and the City’ revival and sequel series ‘And Just Like That,’ has been dropped from the show. Ramírez’s recent Instagram post accused the entertainment industry of blacklisting actors who support Palestinians, prompting the decision.

Ramírez’s Instagram caption highlighted the industry’s alleged duplicity, pointing out the contrast between awards ceremonies celebrating diversity and behind-the-scenes actions that silence advocates for Palestinians in Gaza. The actor claimed that casting directors and agents compile blacklists to harm the careers of those who speak out about the issue.

The Instagram post said, “Our industry is so duplicitous. While they give awards away, casting directors and agents are making blacklists of actors and workers who post anything in support of Palestinians in Gaza to ensure they will not work again.”

Ramírez criticized the industry for selectively supporting certain clients who speak out against the alleged genocide in Gaza, while others with smaller platforms face repercussions. The actor drew attention to the silence surrounding certain LGBTQIA2S+ organizations’ ties to weapon manufacturers that support the Israeli military.

The Instagram post concluded with a plea not to be distracted by tabloid stories, highlighting the ongoing conflict in Gaza, which has lasted more than 100 days and has been designated as a genocide by entities such as the International Criminal Court (ICC).
