The Weeknd and Selena Gomez hold the record for the biggest debut for a male and female EP on Spotify, with ‘Revelación’ and ‘My Dear Melancholy’.

“Revelacion” debuts with 8.57 million streams on Spotify in its first 24 hours.

It becomes the biggest debut for a female EP on the platform surpassing Miley Cyrus’ “She is Coming” which collected 8,215M in 2019 on the platform.

“My Dear Melancholy” debuted with over 29 million streams on Spotify in it’s first 24 hours back in 2018.

The craziness of 2021 definitely hasn’t kept Selena and The Weeknd down as the both keep rewriting history with their music.
