Selena Gomez just spilled the beans that her brand new track, “Single Soon,” is dropping next Friday, August 25 under Interscope Records.
Benny Blanco and Cashmere Cat produced the upcoming track that fans have been waiting for since the release of her album Rare in 2020.
“Y’all have been asking for new music for a while,” Gomez wrote in her Instagram caption promoting the upcoming single. “Since I’m not quite done with SG3, I wanted to put out a fun little song I wrote a while back that’s perfect for the end of summer.” A special 7” version of the track is available for pre-order.
Perhaps it’s a subtle hint that an upcoming music video paying homage to the hit television series, Sex and The City.
Everyone who watched Sex and The City remembers the infamous breakup note when Carrie Bradshaw gets broken up with by her insecure boyfriend Berger, who leaves her in the middle of the night with a post-it note that reads, “I’m sorry I can’t. Don’t hate me,” after asking for another chance to work on their relationship.
Gomez recently shared some exciting music news, following the announcement of her Rare Beauty Impact Fund last week.
In October, she’ll host a fun event to benefit her company’s charitable efforts, which are aimed at breaking down mental health stigmas and educating young people worldwide.
Her ‘Only Murders in the Building‘ co-star Martin Short and her “Wolves” collaborator Marshmello are both expected to attend the L.A. bash.
