Selena Gomez faced severe backlash when she spoke out about the Israel-Hamas War on her Instagram story.
“I’ve taken a break from social media because it breaks my heart to see all the horror, hate, and terror going on in the world,” Gomez wrote on her Instagram story. “It is terrible when people are tortured and killed or when hatred is shown towards a certain group.”
“We must protect ALL people,” the ‘Only Murders in the Building’ star continued, referring to the children who were also victims of the conflict on both sides.
Gomez also stated that while her words will “never be enough for everyone,” she “just can’t stand by innocent people getting hurt.”
“This is what makes me sick,” she concluded her post. I wish I could change the world. But one post won’t do it.”
