‘Send in the clowns,’ the Joker movie trailer is finally here

The origin story of the Batman villain has its first trailer ahead of the October release.

Joker is an upcoming American psychological thriller film based on the DC Comics character of the same name. Distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, it is intended to launch DC Black, a series of DC-based films separate from the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). The film is directed by Todd Phillips from a screenplay co-written with Scott Silver and stars Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker, alongside Robert De Niro, Zazie Beetz, and Frances Conroy. Set in 1981, Joker follows Arthur Fleck, a failed stand-up comedian who is driven insane and turns to a life of crime and chaos in Gotham City.

I can’t believe we’re getting an R-rated Joker movie with some of the coolest cinematography I’ve seen all year. My hopes are high for this one!

The laugh is eerily and amazingly like Hamill’s but also totally its own thing, but 100% Joker either way and I genuinely get chills listening to it.

Mark my words, this movie is gonna be something special… I can just feel it. Phoenix is one of the greatest actors of our generation, he’s gonna blow us all away.
