A brand-new music video will premiere today for the original song “Zoo,” featuring Shakira. The pop anthem will appear in the upcoming animated adventure “Zootopia 2” by Disney Animation Studios. It will be sung by Shakira, who will once again voice Zootopia’s biggest pop star, Gazelle.
Shakira makes several appearances as Gazelle and “Zootopia 2”-chic in various scenes in the music video, blending Shakira’s singing performance with scenes featuring several other cartoon characters from the movie, including Gazelle, Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde, Gary De’Snake, and Nibbles Maplestick.
Directed by Hannah Lux Davis, this music video features scenes and settings including the fashionable ‘Zootenial Gala celebrating the 100th anniversary of the city’s weather walls; the Zootopia Express as it nears the animal city; and a cliff face, which Shakira climbs with Judy and Nick.’
“Zoo” music and lyrics are penned by Ed Sheeran, Blake Slatkin, and Shakira. The song will be produced by Blake Slatkin, Alex “A.C.” Castillo, Shakira, and Ed Sheeran. Additionally, “Zoo” will be released as a collectible 7″ purple vinyl single.
The “Zootopia 2” soundtrack features musical contributions by Academy Award-winning composer Michael Giacchino. It will be released as part of the complete soundtrack this Friday, November 21, ahead of the movie’s theatrical release next Wednesday, November 26. The soundtrack can be pre-saved via this link.

In “Zootopia 2,” the next installment from Disney Animation Studios, rookie cops Judy Hopps, voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin, and her trusted sidekick, Nick Wilde, voiced by Jason Bateman, embark on a twisted adventure as a mysterious conspirator, Gary De’Snake, voiced by Academy Award winner Ke Huy Quan, comes to Zootopia and shakes the roots of the animal city. As they try to solve the puzzle, Judy and Nick must go undercover in unfamiliar areas, and their budding partnership will be pushed to a point they’ve never been before.
The animation will star the voices of Fortune Feimster, Andy Samberg, American actor and two-time Emmy nominee Idris Elba, Patrick Warburton, Quinta Brunson, writer, director, and American actor Nate Torrence, and Grammy winner Shakira, who returns as Gazelle.
