Shakira’s Pies Descalzos Foundation Set To Build 6 New Schools In Colombia

Shakira’s Pies Descalzos Foundation is constructing six new public schools in Barranquilla, Cartagena, Quibdó, and Tibú.

The Pies Descalzos Foundation opened a new school in the La Guajira region of Colombia in October 2022.

The school offers free quality education and protection for the Wayú population, predominantly children.

Shakira’s Pies Descalzos Foundation expanded its project scope to 186 schools in Colombia, contributing to the education of over 51,000 students and the training of over 1,100 teachers in 2022.
