Jordan Potts, the accused suspect of killing Shawtyeria Waites, has been charge with homicide and will remain in jail with a $1 million dollar bond.
Shawtyeria Waites went missing after celebrating her 21st birthday. While at the club with friends celebrating her birthday, she met a man who was later identified to be Jordan Potts, according to a local Houston news outlet. Potts was said to have invited them to his apartment.
Waites was reported missing in late July, and a search took place for weeks before her body was discovered.
On August 13th, Houston Police Department expected foul play and later revealed Waites was killed inside Potts’ apartment and her body was later moved to the trunk of his vehicle.
Potts was arrested in the city of Gresham, which is located about 20 miles east of Portland, a few weeks ago.
