Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham isn’t bashful about having big aspirations, and this time, she’s looking much further out than the three-point shot. The feisty WNBA sensation announced on her Show Me Something podcast that she needs to become a Victoria’s Secret Angel, just like Angel Reese, who shut that runway down earlier this month.
She couldn’t rave enough about Reese’s historic first time out. The LSU great didn’t just walk the Victoria’s Secret runway, she owned it. “She absolutely killed it,” he gushed, going on to say that he texted his agents as soon as the show was over to get her name in the 2026 category.
Reese was actually the first professional athlete to ever be signed as a Victoria’s Secret Angel, along with Olympic queen Suni Lee. It was a culture-defining moment, and it was made abundantly clear by Cunningham: she wants a piece of it. “This has been a dream of mine since I’ve been in like second grade,” she confessed. “I just always wanted to be a Victoria’s Secret Angel.”
