Zombieverse, a Netflix unscripted series set in Seoul during a zombie apocalypse, will premiere on August 8 with an immersive and distinct blend of horror, suspense, and humor.

Here’s a first look at its captivating main poster and trailer, which set the stage for how the 10-member cast of this reality survival show will plot to survive a slew of adventurous quests over three days.

Trust us — you’ve never seen a reality show like this. A group of unwitting contestants gather to take part in a reality dating show, but things take a terrifying turn when they find themselves in the middle of Seoul overrun by zombies. Together, they must escape the city and outrun the walking dead, or risk becoming zombies themselves.

The main trailer offers a glimpse into the adrenaline-pumping series, which swerves from laughter to sheer panic upon the sudden onset of a zombie invasion. The stakes get even higher when the participants must try to reach a rescue ship at Wolmido island, all the while dodging a relentless onslaught of zombies.

Despite its zombie-ridden backdrop, Zombieverse balances genuine suspense with moments of laughter. Subtle scheming among the cast, along with their humorous responses to their bizarre predicament, highlight the show’s unique charm. Through a range of quirky survival tactics, Zombieverse marks the arrival of a fresh reality show concept that intertwines humor and suspense within a zombie apocalypse scenario.

The captivating main poster showcases a formidable lineup of Korea’s most sought-after variety show stars, ensnared in the grip of a massive zombie hand. This ensemble cast includes trending personalities Lee Si-young (of the Sweet Home series) and Dex (from Single’s Inferno), alongside Ro Hong-chul, Park Na-rae, and many more.

By seamlessly blending elements of horror, action, and humor, Zombieverse brings a bold new vision to the Korean unscripted landscape, enthralling viewers with its thrilling narrative and unparalleled scale.

Zombieverse premieres on August 8, only on Netflix.
