SZA Confirms She Dated Drake

The most gossipy line on 21 Savage and Metro Boomin’s mixtape Savage Mode 2 was Drake admitting he dated SZA back in 2008. One of the lyrics on “Mr. Right Now,” Drake says, “Said she wanna fuck to some SZA, wait/Cos’ I used to date SZA back in ’08.” This was news to a lot of people but also concerning for a lot of people. SZA would have been 17 for most of 2008 but she clarified Drake lyrics.

SZA has confirmed that she and Drake dated in the late 2009, meaning Drake was just trying to rhyme.

SZA would have been either 18 or 19 years old at the time. Which means Drake wasn’t being a creep for dating SZA at that time.
