Netflix and Amblin Partners announced today that they have set Carry On as the first film to be produced as part of the deal announced between the two companies last year. Taron Egerton is set to star in the film.
The thriller centers around Ethan Kopek, a young TSA agent who gets blackmailed by a mysterious traveler to let a dangerous package slip through security and onto a Christmas Day flight.
Jaume Collet-Serra is at the helm of the film. TJ Fixman and Michael Green penned the script.
Holly Bario, Amblin’s President of Production, will oversee the project on behalf of the studio. Brian Williams via Dylan Clark Productions, Scott Greenberg, and Seth William Meier serve as executive producers.
