Hulu has confirmed that the fifth season of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” will premiere on Thursday, Sept. 10, with the first five episodes releasing at once. Hulu has released both the teaser trailer and key art of the upcoming season.
The season will air on Hulu and, for bundle subscribers, on Disney+ in the US and internationally.
In the new episodes, the #MomTok crew returns after their toughest two years. According to Hulu, the women have become more popular, but fame, secrets, and backlash may jeopardize their friendships and aspirations.
Taylor Frankie Paul joins the season after her participation in “The Bachelorette,” where she left some things unfinished and faced one temptation. Whitney Leavitt will make her Broadway debut in New York, but the drama from home follows her. In Utah, the loyalties will be put to the test, and every conflict in the crew will make headlines.
As the rumor mill keeps spinning and the questions arise, the sisterhood begins to fall apart, and the women have to decide what and whom to sacrifice to get through, Hulu reports.
The series stars Taylor Frankie Paul, Jen Affleck, Jessi Draper, Layla Taylor, Mayci Neeley, Mikayla Matthews, Miranda Hope, and Whitney Leavitt.
“The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” is developed by Jeff Jenkins Productions, which is responsible for such hit shows as “Bling Empire,” “The McBee Dynasty,” and “Tiffany Haddish Goes Off.” The production team includes 3BMG and Walt Disney Television Alternative.
The fifth season’s executive producers are Jeff Jenkins, Russell Jay-Staglik, Andrea Metz, and Dan Cerny of Jeff Jenkins Productions; Ross Weintraub and Reinout Oerlemans of 3BMG; and Lisa Filipelli, Georgia Berger, and Danielle Pistotnik of Select Entertainment. Affleck, Draper, Paul, Hope, Leavitt, Matthews, Neeley, and Taylor are executive producers.
