Behind-the-scenes selfies confirm McKenna Grace as Daphne Blake for the new Netflix original live-action series Scooby-Doo: Origins, and people can’t wait to see it. Fans love this casting choice, but a few are talking about the costume.

McKenna Grace, who voiced a young Daphne in the 2020 animated movie Scoob!, posted first-look images from the set of an eight-part prequel filmed in Atlanta.

The prequel series, Scooby-Doo: Origins, will follow the story of Mystery Inc. as they discover one another while investigating the haunting of a Great Dane puppy. This series has the entire young cast, including Tanner Hagans as Shaggy, Abby Ryder Fortson as Velma, and Maxwell Jenkins as Fred.

For now, fans are reacting only to Grace’s Daphne look because that is all we know about the costumes from the official first-look photos.

“I absolutely love how Daphne looks. She’s everything,” one fan commented, adding, “This show will not disappoint. Just sayin’!”

But some aren’t too sure yet, since their reactions depend on more than just accessories.

“One thing to love, but not the whole costume. The scarf is Daphne, but that is pretty much it. Still good,” another person stated while adding, “Beautiful redhead, but maybe more of the color?”

We still don’t know when the show will hit Netflix.
