The Weeknd Speaks Out Against the Massacres Taking Place in Ethiopia, Donates $1 Million to Hunger Relief

The Weeknd (Abel) speaks out against the massacres taking place in Tigray, Ethiopia.

“My heart breaks for my people of Ethiopia as innocent civilians ranging from small children to the elderly are being senselessly murdered and entire villages are being displaced out of fear and destruction.” -The Weeknd

Abel has donated $1 million to World Food Program USA, the U.S. affiliate of the United Nations World Food Program, which was the 2020 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, in support of hunger relief efforts in Ethiopia.

It has now been 153 straight days of Genocide in Tigray. Many have been murdered, raped and starved to death.
