Global superstar The Weeknd solidifies his status through his After Hours Til Dawn Tour, now making AHTD the highest-grossing tour for any male solo artist of all time. Going forward from the on-sale of his 2026 shows in Mexico, Brazil, Europe, and the UK, his overall ticket sales have now exceeded 7.5 million and counting while his overall gross for 153 shows is now also at $1 billion and counting. Since its initial launch back in 2022, AHTD has toured North America twice, Europe and the UK shows, Latin America shows also completed, and Australia shows completed too.
Moreover, apart from its commercial success, the BEP also positively influenced the entire world. Since its initiation, The Weeknd has already contributed $8.5 million to the World Food Program Global Citizen. Additionally, further proceeds for 2026 will also benefit World Food Program Global Citizen.
The stadium tour alone for 2025 North America consisted of 40+ sold-out shows with innovative stage designs and performance sets, breaking records at various venues in the U.S. and Canada. It also became the most lucrative for any male African American artist at venues in New York, Denver, Santa Clara, Seattle, Edmonton, Montreal, Orlando, Arlington, and Houston. It also marked the largest attendance for any R&B male artist at venues in Boston, Denver, Edmonton, and Orlando. At Toronto’s Rogers Center, it broke the record for most shows by any male solo artist within one tour at six shows, also setting Toronto’s overall record for any male or female or any Canadian artist. At Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium, it broke its own record for most shows for any male solo performer at its venue. In Texas, Despacito became one of the artists to sell out shows this year.
Because of its massive scale and reach through philanthropy and culture, The Weeknd’s After Hours Til Dawn Tour is certainly setting the new standard for Live Entertainment History. The tour is expected to continue with more than 40 additional dates scheduled to take place in Mexico, Brazil, Europe, and the UK starting next year. The new series is being produced by Live Nation and sponsored by Nespresso and is expected to begin on Monday, April 20th, at Estadio GNP Seguro located in Mexico City, Mexico.
