TOP 10 TV SHOWS OF 2019

In 2019, the TV shows that came out this year really didn’t disappoint besides Game of Thrones, Big Little Lies, and American Horror Story. We had amazing shows like Watchmen, See, Stranger Things, and All American. This is my list of Top 10 TV shows.

10. ON MY BLOCK-SEASON 2

ON MY BLOCK season 2 did not disappoint at all. The jokes and outrageousness was just good as hell. Jamal found the money. Monse met her mom even though they didn’t really establish it. Cesar and Oscar found away to eliminate Latrelle gang without being violent. Ruby was heartbroken because he lost his love the season before but they ended the season being took hostage. Which makes fans very interested in season 3. This show does have high critically acclaimed views which is surprising but deserving. It’s honestly one of the most slept on shows this year.

9. THE WITCHER

The Witcher starring Henry Cavil as Geralt of Rivia is absolutely amazing. I just wished they added like a gray beard to his face and also wish Netflix would have dropped an episode a week for this show. It’s very great show but might get overlooked if you binge watch it in one day.

The way they shot and told these character stories for the introduction of the first season is amazing. Not only do become emotionally invested into these characters but you see why they do the things that they do. The fight scene in the first episode really had you invested and intrigued about the season.

Freya Allen has really shined as Ciri in this first season. She really doesn’t know her true power and strength yet but hopefully since she found her destiny in the forest, we will see her be more active in fighting scenes next season.

Anya Chalotra is killing the role of Yennefer of Vengerberg. I would love to see more of Triss next season if she’s still alive. This show has a really good chance of doing damage next decade.

8. UNBELIEVABLE

Unbelievable is exactly what is called unbelievable this show should be in every top 10 list.

It’s about the dramatization of the 2008–2011 Washington and Colorado serial rape cases, Unbelievable follows “Marie, a teenager who was charged with lying about having been raped, and the two detectives who followed a twisting path to arrive at the truth.”

This is honestly one of the most twisted eye opening show of 2019.

7. The Mandalorian

Mandalorian is the best thing Disney+ released until we go on this drought for really good new content. I was going to originally have this at the 9th spot on my list until the season finale was to epic. Honestly they should give Taika Waititi the next Star Wars saga.

The Mandalorian has been the most interesting Stars Wars TV show or movie since Rogue One. Pedro Pascal as Mando and we got baby Yoda. This was a genius idea by Disney.

Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. The series depicts a lone bounty hunter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.

6. YOU-SEASON 2

Joe Goldberg moves from New York to Los Angeles to escape his past, and starts over with a new identity. When he meets aspiring chef Love Quinn, Joe begins falling into his old patterns of obsession and violence while being haunted by what happened with Beck. The only thing is Joe has met his match.

This show is honestly so twisted and crazy you just got love it. The twist in this show was pretty predictable but it didn’t matter because it was exciting and fans really wanted to see that going into season 3.

5. RAISING DION

Raising Dion follows the story of a woman who raises her son Dion after the death of her husband Mark. The normal dramas of raising a son as a single mom are amplified when Dion starts to manifest several magical, superhero-like abilities. Nicole must now keep her son’s gifts secret with the help of Mark’s best friend Pat, and protect Dion from people out to exploit him while figuring out the origin of his abilities.

This is amazing because I remember being a little kid and I never got to watch someone that was my age and that looks like me on TV doing all these amazing things and saving the planet.

The show was unpredictable and had arguably the best twist any show or movie since Skeleton Key. I had no idea and everyone watching it were probably thinking what in the blue hell is going on in the show right now.

4.POSE FX-SEASON 2

Outside of When They See Us, Pose season 2 was probably the most powerful and eye opening TV show that was released this year. The show really showcased the dangers of not having protective sex like episode 2 when Blanca (MJ Rodriguez) revealed she had AIDS that scene was like an “Oh Shit” moment for a lot of people watching show. She deserved all the awards nominations coming her way for that scene alone.

Everyone on this show acted their ass off and the show writers really wrote a masterpiece. The messaging, the shot angles, and really everything about this season was flawless.

3. THE MORNING SHOW

The morning show is popular news program broadcast from Manhattan on the UBA network that has excellent viewership ratings and is perceived to have changed the face of American television. The host of the show is Alex Levy (Jennifer Anniston) and Mitch Kessler (Steve Carell), they have been on-air partner for 15 years.

Until one morning, Mitch Kessler, is fired amidst a sexual misconduct scandal, Alex fights to retain her job as top news anchor while sparking a rivalry with Bradley Jackson (Reese Witherspoon), a field reporter whose series of impulsive decisions bring her into a new world of TV journalism.

Between Episode 8 and 10 this show is flawless. Jennifer Anniston, Reese Witherspoon, Steve Carell, Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, and especially Gugu Mbatha-Raw all deserve all the nominations coming their way. The MVP of the first season Gugu Mbatha-Raw without her special acting performance in the clutch episodes of the season, you wouldn’t become emotional invested in the ending. This show had the best season finale out of every show that was released this year.

2. EUPHORIA

“Euphoria” follows the troubled life of 17-year-old Rue, a drug addict fresh from rehab with no plans to stay clean. Circling in Rue’s orbit are Jules, a transgender girl searching for where she belongs; Nate, a jock whose anger issues mask sexual insecurities; Chris, a football star who finds the adjustment from high school to college harder than expected; Cassie, whose sexual history continues to dog her; and Kat, a body-conscious teen exploring her sexuality. As the classmates struggle to make sense of their futures, the series tackles the teenage landscape of substance-enhanced parties and anxiety-ridden day-to-day life with empathy and candor.

This is honestly Zendaya best performance and project she has ever done in career. This show touches on so many subjects within the different characters they display. Any teenager or young adult will most likely see themselves in one of characters they display. This should have been nominated for a Golden Globe but hopefully the Emmys do right give them a nomination.

1. WHEN THEY SEE US

When They See Us is based on events of the April 19, 1989 Central Park jogger case and explores the lives of the five suspects who were prosecuted on charges related to the sexual assault of a female victim, and of their families. The five juvenile males of color, the protagonists of the series: Kevin Richardson (Asante Blackk), Antron McCray (Caleel Harris), Yusef Salaam (Ethan Herisse), Korey Wise (Jharrel Jerome), and Raymond Santana (Marquis Rodriguez), were divided by the prosecutor into two groups for trial. Each youth was convicted by juries of various charges related to the assault; four were convicted of rape. They were sentenced to maximum terms for juveniles except for Korey Wise, who was 16 at the time of the crime and treated as an adult by the legal system. He had been held in adult facilities and served his time in adult prison.

They filed a suit against the city in 2003 for wrongful conviction and were awarded a settlement in 2014.

WHEN THEY SEE US is Ava DuVernay best project so far in her career. Many people have heard about Central Park 5 but the way she illustrated the story on Screening was just remarkable. The actors on the show did absolutely amazing. It’s the best show that came out this year. I pray Ava tells more stories like this in her future projects.

Unquestionably believe that which you said. Your favorite justification appeared to be on the net the simplest thing to be aware of. I say to you, I definitely get annoyed while people think about worries that they plainly don’t know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top and also defined out the whole thing without having side effect , people could take a signal. Will likely be back to get more. Thanks|
